Description
Oil filter bypass plug fits into oil filters 67-87 and replaces the oil filter bypass assembly. Due to its weak spring the oil filter bypass assembly was cast in by Chrysler shortly after the AMC/Chrysler merger. Oil filter adaptors from 87-91 do not require this plug. Oil filter bypass plug replaces stock steel oval retaining washer behind stock oil filter stud (7/8 deep well socket needed for removal).
